Sobat Kripto, nonce adalah number yang miner Bitcoin (dan PoW chain lain) increment untuk find hash di bawah target difficulty. 'Number Used Once' atau sometimes 'Number Once'. Foundational concept di PoW mining. Combined dengan block content, generate hash. Miner iterate billions of nonce per second untuk find valid hash. Successful nonce = winning block reward.
Cara Kerja
Miner constuct block dengan transactions, timestamp, previous block hash. Add nonce (start with 0). Compute SHA-256 hash. Compare dengan target difficulty. Kalau hash di bawah target: valid, broadcast block, claim reward. Kalau tidak: increment nonce, try again. Repeat billion times per second. First miner yang find valid hash wins.
Block Header
Block header includes: version, previous block hash, merkle root, timestamp, difficulty target, nonce. Only nonce yang miner change (lain dari fixed). 32-bit nonce: max 4 billion try. Kalau habis tanpa valid hash, miner change extranonce di coinbase transaction untuk reset. Iterate sampai find solution.
