Sobat Kripto, stop loss adalah risk management tool yang otomatis jual posisi saat harga turun ke level tertentu. Membatasi kerugian maksimal per trade. Salah satu disiplin paling fundamental untuk trader serius. Hindari emotional decision di market crash.
Cara Set
Buka posisi long BTC di 60.000 dolar dengan stop loss di 58.000 dolar (loss max 3,3 persen). Kalau harga turun ke 58.000, exchange otomatis market sell. Tidak perlu monitor 24/7. Ada beberapa jenis: fixed stop loss (harga tertentu), trailing stop loss (otomatis adjust naik kalau harga naik), guaranteed stop loss (exchange jamin eksekusi di harga set, biaya extra).
Best Practice
Set stop loss SEBELUM entry, bukan setelah harga sudah turun. Risk per trade max 1-2 persen dari total account. Stop loss berdasarkan analisis teknikal (di bawah support, di atas resistance untuk short) bukan emotional. Jangan move stop loss closer to entry saat harga turun (averaging psychology). Stick to plan.
Risiko Stop Loss
Slippage: di market crash, stop loss bisa eksekusi di harga jauh lebih rendah dari set (di volatil pair atau low liquidity). Hunt stops: market maker kadang push harga ke level stop loss umum sebelum reverse, retail kena likuidasi sebelum trend yang seharusnya. Mitigasi: set stop loss di level yang tidak obvious, hindari level psikologis populer. Disiplin stop loss tetap fundamental walau ada risiko.
