Penjelasan
Sobat Kripto, mempool (memory pool) adalah waiting room untuk transaksi yang sudah di-broadcast ke network tapi belum dimasukkan ke block. Node maintain own mempool. Miner/validator pilih transaksi dari mempool berdasarkan fee untuk include di next block. Mempool monitor essential untuk understand network congestion dan optimize timing.
Cara Kerja
User submit transaksi via wallet. Wallet broadcast ke network nodes. Each node validate transaksi (signature valid, sufficient balance, etc) and add ke local mempool. Miner/validator construct block dari mempool: pilih transaksi dengan fee tertinggi untuk maximize revenue. Transaksi di-include di block, removed dari mempool.
Network Congestion
High activity period: mempool fill up, fee market competitive. Low gas fee transactions: stuck di mempool berhari-hari atau cancel. Bitcoin pernah mempool 200.000 pending transactions during 2017 boom dan 2023 Ordinals boom. Ethereum: similar congestion event during NFT mint atau airdrop claim besar. Strategy: pakai gas tracker (mempool.space, etherscan gas tracker) untuk time transactions.
