Sobat Kripto, EIP-1559 adalah update mekanisme fee Ethereum yang launching London Hard Fork (5 Agustus 2021). Ubah model fee dari first-price auction (user bid gas, paling tinggi menang) ke base fee otomatis (algorithmically determined by demand) + priority fee tip (opsional untuk priority). Base fee di-burn (dikurangi dari supply), bukan ke miner. Hasil: ETH potential deflasi saat aktivitas tinggi.
Base Fee + Priority Fee
Base fee: gas fee minimum yang ditentukan algoritma berdasar gas usage block sebelumnya (target 50% capacity). Naik 12.5% per blok saat block full, turun saat block kosong. Dibakar (burn), tidak ke miner/validator. Priority fee: tip opsional user untuk validator agar prioritas tx. Total fee = (base fee + priority fee) x gas used.
Deflasi Potential
Sebelum EIP-1559: ETH inflasi ~4-5% per tahun dari mining reward. Setelah EIP-1559: jika base fee burn > new ETH issuance, ETH net deflasi. Setelah The Merge (Sept 2022), issuance drop ~90%, burn lebih sering > issuance = ETH deflasi (~0.2% annualized di rata-rata 2023-2024). Saat aktivitas tinggi (bull market), deflasi 2-4% per tahun.
