Sobat Kripto, channel adalah continuation pattern: price bergerak dalam parallel trend line (upper resistance, lower support). Three jenis: ascending (bullish, both line slope up), descending (bearish, both slope down), horizontal (sideways, both lines flat). Trade dalam channel atau breakout dari channel.
Identifikasi
Connect 2-3 swing high dengan line, parallel-shift untuk swing low. Atau vice versa. Channel valid kalau price touch both line multiple times. Channel width: distance antara upper dan lower. Wide channel: bigger trading range, more opportunity. Narrow channel: tighter range, lower volatility.
Trading dalam Channel
Mean reversion strategy: buy di lower line, sell di upper line. Stop loss: beyond opposite line. Risk-reward: typically attractive di wide channel. Works baik di ranging atau slow-trending market. Failure: kalau price break channel, change strategy ke breakout trade.
Channel Breakout
Eventually channel break (no trend last forever). Breakout in direction trend: continuation (e.g., ascending channel breakout up). Breakout against trend: reversal. Volume spike at breakout confirm validity. Trade breakout dengan target: channel width projected from breakout point.
